Transcript: Animated Series: Lesson 34: Help Others.
[Animated series. Lesson 34: Help Others. Mark 1:41. Caleb and Sophia watch television]
Television: The Governing Body will continue to do everything in our power to provide the needed relief aid to our dear brothers in these affected areas. We love you very much. And thank you for tuning in for this update.
Sophia: I wish we could help.
Caleb: Me too.
Sophia: Oh! I have an idea.
[Sophia excitedly pulls Caleb by his hand. In Sophia’s bedroom she shakes a pink piggy bank. Pops the stopper and coins fall into her hand. Caleb runs to his bedroom; a car and ball bounce out of his door. He searches for his dinosaur money bank and peers in the slot. As he shakes it, something falls out]
Caleb: Yes!
[He looks sad realizing it's a button. Sophia walks downstairs]
Mom: What is it, Sweetie?
Sophia: Can I give this to our brothers affected by the hurricane?
Dad: Of course you can. We’ll put it in the contribution box on Sunday.
[Caleb walks in slowly]
Caleb: My piggy bank was empty. I guess I can’t help.
[He looks sad]
Dad: There are many things you can do to help. First, you can save some money for next time.
[He puts a coin in his piggy bank]
Second, you can think about them and pray for them.
[Caleb prays]
You know, Jesus felt the same way when he was here on earth. Do you remember what he said when he helped the leper?
Sophia and Caleb: I want to!
Dad: Yes. He did what he could to help others, just like you.
[Sophia and Caleb smile]
That makes us very proud of you.
[Sophia puts her arm around Caleb, pulls him close and they hug]
