Transcript: Jesus Illustrates Our Father’s Care for Us
[Text: Simplicity. Matthew 6:25 through 27. Sitting under a tree, Jesus addresses a crowd]
Jesus: On this account I say to you: Stop being anxious about your lives as to what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your bodies as to what you will wear.
[Couples and families listen closely]
Does not life mean more than food and the body than clothing?
[He looks at them imploringly]
Observe intently the birds of heaven;
[He gestures upward]
they do not sow seed or reap or gather into storehouses,
[In the front of the crowd a young woman nods]
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
[Looking directly at her, Jesus smiles]
Are you not worth more than they are?
[She returns his smile, her eyes shining]
