Transcript: Jesus Preaches to Zacchaeus
[Boldness. Luke 19:1-7. A man wearing a purple garment with gold trim walks slowly]
Presenter: Now a man named Zacchaeus was there
[He twirls a ring on his hand]
he was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.
[Nearby Jesus passes through]
He was trying to see who this Jesus was, but he could not see because of the crowd, since he was short.
[Zacchaeus struggles to see over the shoulders of the people, then frowns]
So, he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see him.
Crowd: That’s Zacchaeus
[Jesus looks up at him then at the crowd. As the crowd murmurs Zacchaeus swallows nervously. Jesus steps toward him]
Jesus: Zacchaeus, hurry and get down, for today I must stay in your house.
[Zacchaeus nods eagerly. Jesus smiles warmly at him. In the crowd two men exchange disapproving glances]
Presenter: With that he hurried down and joyfully welcomed him as a guest.
[As Zacchaeus approaches him Jesus puts his hand on his shoulder]
