Transcript: Philip Preaches to the Ethiopian Eunuch
[Naturalness. Acts 8:30, 31. Sitting in his chariot, the Ethiopian reads from a scroll]
Ethiopian Eunuch: Like a sheep he was brought to the slaughter,
[He furrows his brow]
and like a lamb that is silent before its shearer, so he does not open his mouth.
[Philip approaches]
Philip: Excuse me!
[Startled, the Ethiopian looks up]
Do you actually know what you are reading?
[He stares at Philip running beside him]
Ethiopian Eunuch: Really, how could I ever do so unless someone guided me?
[The Ethiopian extends his hand]
Presenter: So, he urged Philip to get on and sit down with him.
Ethiopian Eunuch: I beg you, about whom does the prophet say this? About himself or about some other man?
Philip: That’s an easy passage to . . .
Presenter: Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture, he declared to him the good news about Jesus.
[Philip gestures as they ride in the chariot together]
